Crystal Winebarger - Virginia State Coordinator, Team Administrator & Coach
I started shooting archery and took archery in college. It was a very fun competitive sport and sparked my interest. From there it led to practicing in the backyard and eventually taking my first hunting trip with a bow. What I love about archery is it is a one size fit all sport. Anyone can shoot archery. My goal as a state coordinator is to get teams involved all across the state of Virginia and just help Virginia grow in the archery field. My goal as a team coach and administrator is to build up my team of kids to help them learn the sport of archery and be proud of their own accomplishments. I have a daughter and two sons that love shooting archery! I love working with the youth and I love seeing the smiles on their face when they are reaching their goals! It really touches my heart to have this opportunity. I am very blessed.
Hubert Winebarger - Virginia State Conservationist & Coach
I used to shoot archery back many years ago in my youth and did some bow hunting. I started bow hunting last year and got my first deer with a crossbow. My kids started shooting archery for a local 4-H team and I thought this will be a great opportunity for us to do this as a family. So we all went and got new bows and this is our favorite outdoor sport. I think it's awesome because me and my kids go to the range we have our own family competition. After my wife became the Virginia state coordinator, I met the national coordinator Patty, and she encouraged me to take on the role as the Virginia state conservationist. I was really excited and happily accepted the position. Now me and my wife can tag team and teach not only archery but the conservation side of s3da. My goal is to get Virginia teams up and going and to give every child an opportunity to shoot archery and learn about the outdoors and hunting.

I started hunting with my mom at a very young age and absolutely love the outdoors. As I Grew Older and started a family of my own we now all enjoy the outdoors. Me and my husband and our twin daughters all own bows and we go and have family competition and just have a great time. When my mom started the s3da I knew this was a great opportunity for me to help her and to help build a future for my kids. Archery is a family fun sport!
